Bridging simulations and real-world V2X: insights from project FRODDO at IEEE VTC2026-Spring in Nice
Infosystem Security, in close collaboration with our research partners at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE), is thrilled to present our latest research:
📖 "Demystifying VEINS: A Reality Check Against Living Lab Experiments"
As part of the EU-funded FRODDO project - which leverages on Living Labs to enhance safety and security in Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility (CCAM) - we tackled a key challenge: How accurate are V2X simulation tools like VEINS when matched against real-world testbed data?
By comparing VEINS simulations directly with Living Lab experimental data, we highlighted crucial gaps and key opportunities to build more trustworthy simulation environments for future autonomous driving systems.

A big thank you to the research team and our colleagues for this successful collaboration and for continuing to push the boundaries of V2X and automotive security research!
